There’s just something about wearing red that sparks a little je ne sais pas in people that they will go out of their way to make a compliment (or is that just me?). Red is the colour of danger, sacrifice, passion, fire, beauty, blood and anger. Maybe wearing red is like waving a red flag at a bull or it just simply evokes emotions of the Chris De Burgh variety? Whatever it is I think it’s a winner.
I bought this A-line, lace-like dress from Kmart for $19 a few months ago (I also have the black version because I loved it so much) and the faux pearls a la Marge Simpson are from Diva. I love this look as you can wear it to the office, then spruce it up with a red lip and your good to go for a night out.
