I’ve been looking at a lot of different blogs lately, trying to get some fashion and hair inspiration and to generally see what’s hot for the coming spring/summer season. One things for certain and that’s braids are in in a big way. Even at the Fashion Aid Ball the other night a lot of girls had their hair in braids, so I thought I’d give it another whirl and start teaching myself how to do side braids properly. I’ve tried doing them before (and even posted them on the blog), but I just can’t seem to know which way to position my hands – I know, I’m a klutz!
A side braid always conjures up images of the 80s, which is never a bad thing in my book, although in this instance I forewent the frosted blue eyeshadow! Braids are super girly and feminine so I thought I’d team it with my purple leather Esprit jacket to “harden” it up a bit. OK, so it’s not real leather, but you know I’m a budget savvy lady. What do you think? Do you wear braids? Have any handy tips and tricks on how to do one on yourself? I’d be forever grateful.
