OOTD: Urban Safari

urban safari1

Remember that time I said I was going to continue not splurging on impulse items? Well, yeah about that…so I may have bought a couple of things last Sunday from Kmart – but hey, I walked away with four new items and change from $50. That’s not too bad, right?!

I wanted to pick up some new summer nighties and I happened to walk by this t-shirt and I stopped in my tracks because 1) it’s yellow – the colour for Spring as I’ve been predicting and 2) there’s zebras on it! urban safari2

I instantly thought “urban safari” and I knew I had to team it with leopard print of some kind. I wanted to jazz it up from an adorable, albeit plain, t-shirt and be able to wear it into the office too.

Today I’ve paired it with my older than Moses pencil skirt from Target and my new Steve Madden leopard print flats that I scored from TJ Maxx in Augusta for under $30. I then finished off the look with some bling – my (new and for the moment) favourite statement necklace from Francesca’s and another old item – an elephant hair clip from The Body Shop, I think I bought back when I was 15 (don’t throw this shit out peeps – you never know when you can wear it in an OOTD haha!)

And there you have it peeps – animal chic, safari fierceness for the 9 to 5’ers out there. Remember, just because you work in an office you don’t have to conform and wear boring clothes 🙂

As you know, my brain works in lyrics, so here’s a treat for all you swingin’ (jungle) cats…. happy Monday dollface(s).
