It’s beginning to look a lot like 2015!

Happy-New-Year-2015-Big-bunch-of-balloonsCan you believe it’s New Year’s Eve?! 2014 has flown by so quickly I have a chronic case of whiplash! While I’m slapping on some lippy and making sure my feet are primed for some serious d-floor action tonight I wanted to take the time out and look back on the lessons I’ve learnt this year…

Take chances, you never know what they’ll lead to; earlier this yearΒ I flew up to Sydney to meet fellow blogger, Karen from KPSays, who was all the way Down Under from the US. We made plans to meet up and I could have easily passed up the opportunity as she was only in Sydney, but I thought “why the fuck not?” and went ahead and met her and I must say it was one of the best things I could’ve done. Not only is she an amazingly funny lady who has awesome taste in music, she’s also very warm and generous and invited me to come and stay with her when I was in Georgia in July. One simple decision and now I have a life-long buddy πŸ™‚

Just because she’s beautiful doesn’t mean you’re not; the fabulous and talented Anastasia from Anastasia AmourΒ hit the nail on the head with this one and this message truly resonated with me. I’m so sick and tired of comparing myself to other women – it’s completely useless and I no longer have room for it in my thoughts. That skinny, tall, long-haired blonde girl across the room (isn’t there always at least one?)Β  is really beautiful, and SO AM I! There I said!

Life’s too short, eat the fucking (gluten free) cookie; or wheel of brie or whatever you fancy. I’m so sick of talking about what I can and can’t eat and why, it’s boring!! Let’s just enjoy what we like, when we want it, no explanations needed. Food is amazing and there is no “good” or “bad” food; it’s food plain and simple.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah now where’s that champagne?!Β What are you all up to for NYE? Are you going to twerk it in the club or are you having a chillaxed moment at home? Well whatever you’re doing I raise my flute to you, cheers! Thanks for an amazing 2014 xo

I hope one day I can meet some of the amazing bloggers that I’ve encountered too….maybe even you haha! I love Anastasias blog its all about women empowered me and I used ALWAYS compare myself to every girl I could find even girls that I knew I looked nothing like…*Cough* skin color haha! I’ve learned to embrace me and love me. This 2014 has definitely been an amazing year for me I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you and me in the new year!!! Oh and I’m so gonna be twerking in my room when the ball drops at midnight lmbo!!!

    Happy New Years!!!

  2. YAY! What a beautiful post, Rosie. I remind myself of that saying, “just b/c she’s beautiful doesn’t mean you’re not.” Cause it’s true!! ❀ Women are the most beautiful beings in the world so there's no sense in comparing one another! hehe But just so you know, I think you are perfect!!

    • Awwwww you are too sweet 😘😘
Exactly, we should be embracing one another instead of trying to shoot each other down ❀️❀️❀️
      Happy new year Tina xo
