I told you all a while ago that I had aspirations of being an Olympic athlete when I was a little kid. Winning a gold medal was definitely on the top of my “to-do” list in life. Alas that never happened for me but it did for this week’s fierce female, Sally Pearson.
This bad-ass athlete was the first Australian to receive the Female Athlete of the Year awarded by the International Association of Athletics Federation in 2011. Way to go Sally! Of course she also won the Olympic gold medal in London in 2012 for the 100m hurdles, smashing it in 12.35s – AH-mazing!!
This Sunday I raise my Asics and my childhood dreams to Sally, an amazing sportswoman and role model.
