If there’s one woman that deserves the title of “Fierce Female” it’s the late, great Joan Rivers! She truly was a pioneer for female comics everywhere and changed the way we view fashion on the red carpet.
Joan was a comedian, actress, writer, producer, and television host and was the first woman to have her own late night talk show. But she’s probably best remembered for her jibes on Fashion Police – I mean who else could get away with half the shit she said about celebrities?! Some may say Joan was a bully, and perhaps she was, but my god was she fucking hilarious. Caustic, ballsy and fiercely inappropriate ’til the end! Alas she died last year at the age of 81 after not waking from day surgery for a throat procedure.
This Sunday I raise my middle finger and toast Joan Rivers, a fiercely funny female who had THE best one liners going:
