So much yes for this look right here!
Without this Sunday’s Fierce Female, karaoke as we know it would never be the same! How else would angst ridden girls be able to vent their frustrations without a little bit of “Love Is a Battlefield“??
Pat Benatar was (still is in my eyes) the quintessential 80s pop/rock goddess. She burst onto the music scene in the late 70s and was a huge hit with her racy on stage spandex clad outfits which she absolutely despised, but her record label insisted upon. She fought against the overly sexed-up on stage persona and eventually got her say in the way she dressed and her overall image.
This Sunday I raise my leg-warmers and toast Pat, one rocking “Invincible” bad-ass!
“For every day since I was old enough to think, I’ve considered myself a feminist … It’s empowering to watch and to know that, perhaps in some way, I made the hard path [women] have to walk just a little bit easier.” – Pat Benatar
