OOTD: So You Wanna Be A Cowboy?

As a little kid did you ever have dreams of being a cowboy/girl? Riding around on horseback and lassoing stray sheep by day and eating beans by a campfire by night? (I have clearly seen way too many old westerns!) No, me neither to be honest!! The thought of all that horse shit and flies and actual physical, back-breaking labour does not sound appealing to me at all. What can I say? I am a true city girl through and through and I enjoy my nails looking puuuurdy without muck under them. My people didn’t move from rural farmlands on the outskirts of the motherland for me to just move on back! No thank you sir. This will be as close to being a cowgirl as I’ll ever get and I’m just peachy with that.

Truth be told, the inspiration for today’s OOTD came from an old Bon Jovi song. Yup, who would have thought I’d get inspo from the 80s? *insert eye-roll here* The other day while riding driving around on my trusty steed Mazda this song came on and I immediately had a flash of it would look like if it were an outfit. Like an interpretive dance, but in fashion form if you will.

 More often than not a lot of my ideas for outfits come from other fabulous bloggers or magazine spreads. I see the way they’ve styled a skirt or a specific colour and take it and pop a Rosie twist on it. Every now and then, though, I get a flash of inspiration from a movie or a song or even a piece of jewellery.
