OOTD: Olympic Gold!

When it comes to sport, I’d much rather be participating than be a spectator…that is until the Olympic Games is on! I store up all my arm chair fanaticism for four years and let it rip when that boring opening ceremony takes place. One of my dreams as a kid was to compete in the Olympics and since I’m a little to old and slow for it now I love throwing my support behind our Aussie teams. Especially when there’s a chance of winning gold (hello, bling!) then I am all for it and I love to watch.

As I’m in the grips of Olympic fever I thought it’d be fun to pop an outfit together that celebrated the colours of the Olympic rings; red, yellow, blue, green and black. At first I thought the combination of these colours would be a little OTT but once I had the outfit on I was in love. It definitely deserves a gold medal for being colourpoptastic!

I’m a huge fan of the track and field events as well as the gymnastics – bring on the leotards. I can’t wait to see if Usain Bolt will win his hat-trick gold medal for the 100 metres race! Are you a fan of the Olympic Games? What sport do you love to watch?

  1. Our social club had us come in Olympic ring colours last Friday, I played it safe in a blue tunic and jeans but back in the day I totally would have tried to get them all into one outfit and I love what you’ve come up with! I love all gymnastics and the diving.

    • Thanks Beth!! At first I thought it would be waaaaay too OTT, but then I thought if I add some denim then that would break it up. Ooooh yes gymnastics and diving are awesome 🙂 xo

Now it's your turn...let me know what you think. I love reading your comments! :)
