You know when you’re little and every song is basically a new song to you because you’re 5 and only know a handful of songs from Sesame Street? Well, I just assumed that any song that I hadn’t heard before was NEW new, as in, just released and brand new to the airwaves. Hey, I never said I was a smart kid!
Case in point; Fleetwood Mac’s Don’t Stop. The first time I’d heard it was during music class in primary school when we’d sing it at the top of our lungs, reading the lyrics from our ABC Sing Books. I had no idea that at that stage the song was almost 10 years old, all I knew was that it rocked and I loved it! Who were these groovy cats called Fleetwood Mac? Eventually I learnt that they weren’t new at all and had been around since the dawn of time (or the late 60s, whatever came first!).
Their songs are epic anthems filled with gorgeous, silky, honey-dripped harmonies about longing and lust as only the turbulent love triangles within the band could tell. Founding member, Mick Fleetwood, may be almost 70 but grandpa still knows how to effing rock! I got to see them in concert late last year and they were truly amazing and still so vibrant 30 years on.
Getting the band back together!
This is by far one of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs, I mean how could you go past Lindsey Buckingham on lead vocals? The man was a serious babe! Happy Sunday dollface and enjoy!

One of my favourite and ‘go-to’ bands…
So many great songs I totally know what you mean! 🙂 xo
I liked the early incarnation too, Peter Green’s more bluesy period of Mac.
I don’t really know much of the pre Nicks/Buckingham days, but I do love some bluesy rock so I think I need to delve into their back catalogue 🙂
