Can you believe we finally got some amazing spring weather on Saturday for this year’s Derby Day?! The sun was out in full force (yup, managed to get a little sunburnt – boo!) and the gals and I had a lovely day out at Flemington Racecourse.
This year I wanted to go with a predominately white theme with splashes of black thrown in (as well as a little cheeky purple) for good measure. I first ordered another dress and when it arrived I hated it. It was a lacy wrap which I’m not a fan of for my body shape and I had a bit of a meltdown before getting back online and finding this cute little skater number from asos. Throw in some new wedges and a gorgeous crocheted fascinator and voila – race day ready!
I really love this fascinator and need another occasion to wear it pronto!
Keeping cool sipping champers in the sun
Having fun making gifs in the Yellowglen marquee
You’ve gotta love a Snapchat geofilter!

I have only ever been to the races once about 20yrs ago and we certainly didn’t dress up lol. You look great and looks like you had a super fun time!
Thanks Cat! It certainly has become more about the fashion than the horses LOL! š xo

Looking absolutely darling! Classy and fabulous. I have been to Derby Day once; in a full length velour brocaded gown (WHY?) and an enormous custom black hat that my Mum copied from one of the displays in Myer. Good times!
OMG I need to see a pic of that NOW!! Thanks so much šš
Your outfit is beautiful – you’d never know that was your second choice dress, definitely a winner! š Perfect outfit for a day at the races.
Thanks so much Mica!! š xo
