OOTD: Gaga For Gingham

Dollface, I simply have nothing to wear!

No, seriously, hear me out!!

OK, so obviously not NOTHING *rolls eyes* but I’m feeling like my selection of funky tops is rather slim. After bulking out my jean-drobe (jeans wardrobe, you get it!, I know) and other great bottoms I’ve found recently (like these and more to come in future OOTD posts) it feels as though all my tops and blouses are a little meh.

Actually, I’ve felt like this for the longest time. I have fabulous dresses in abundance, my collection of skirts is a doozie and I’ve slowly amassed a primo pick of pants. But tops? For some reason this is where I lack inspiration. I tend to buy the same styles/colours/fabrics and then wonder why I’m bored of them and can’t match them with anything.

BUT NOT ANYMORE!

This year I’ve really started to put in a lot of effort in finally curating a top-notch top collection and my favourite so far is this new gingham blouse from asos. I’m completely gaga for it!

Obviously it had me at that ruched sleeve and I love that it can be worn at different lengths. I think it’s a perfect addition to my wardrobe to wear with jeans for a casual look or with a skirt for a dressier affair or even with shorts for a fun, flirty feel.

Is there a gap in your wardrobe where you lack inspiration?

  1. Those sleeves are life. I totally hear you when it comes to tired top selections and have also made them the focus of my recent shopping – in fact, the last nine (9!) items I’ve bought have been tops and I feel like I’m finally starting to get a decent collection together. I’ve also been targeting jumpers as I find them insanely hard to procure so I’m getting set for the cooler weather!

Now it's your turn...let me know what you think. I love reading your comments! :)
