OOTD: Pussy Bow – Take 2

As promised here’s my “take 2” of the pussy bow OOTD with mum’s vintage blouse…and isn’t it a beauty?! I love it a hell of a lot more than the one I bought from asos as the colour is a lot more vibrant and the quality is a thousand times better. Let’s face it, they don’t make ’em like they used to!

I don’t often wear blouses on the weekend and I want to change that up, especially with this gorgeous piece in my arsenal. I wanted to try a fun and flirty look, something that could take me from a hot brunch date to a casual Sunday session with friends, and what better way to do that then by adding a little faux fur courtesy of Kmart?

I’ve been trying to cut back on my spending and shopping of late and really having a think before committing to the purchase. I like to think about if I really need the piece (I usually don’t and just impulse buy) and whether I have something similar to work with or if it just doesn’t fit amongst my wardrobe. I saw this vest in Kmart a handful of times over the last few weeks ago and kept thinking I don’t need it as my sis has something similar (remember this outfit?) but then I got to thinking about this outfit post and how it’d be fun to dress down the blouse with the vest and to have one of my own for this winter, so off I toddled to mum’s local Kmart in search of the vest AND IT WAS GONE!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Thankfully my trusty local Kmart had them still in stock and I grabbed it with both hands and dashed to the counter to buy it…phew! Lesson learnt; spontaneity is the spice of life haha!

I’m really digging this whole look – hair swept up in a bow and all. My sis didn’t really think my hair worked but I think it totally “ties” the outfit together, what do you think??
